Augusta County
“Crews are already widening the bottleneck at Exit 91 off
Interstate 64, but that project doesn't cover a chunk of Route 608 waiting to
be developed. Eight properties that have been purchased along 608 in
Fishersville can't break ground on new development until the road is widened,
so Augusta County supervisors voted Wednesday night to solicit for bids to fix
that problem…
The project is expected to cost a few million dollars, but
leftover Virginia Department of Transportation secondary road funds and revenue
sharing could leave the county with less than half the cost.”
